Social Awareness

As part of our social awareness, Essel is a proud supporter of the following charities:

Exercise Tiger Trust

The Exercise Tiger Trust is a UK registered charity that was founded in 2004 to commemorate the American servicemen who died during Exercise Tiger on 28th April 1944.

The aim of the charity is to provide a comprehensive online resource of content for research, to educate, and to inform. The digital library and collections are made available free of charge, for relatives, students and enthusiasts to learn, understand and appreciate the action which took place and the sacrifices made.

Core to the charity website is a searchable database of all those who lost their lives that serves both as a detailed record and a perpetual memorial to all those who died – the “Roll of Honour” – To find out more please visit: www.exercisetiger.org.uk. Please consider a donation. All funds raised help support activities to remember those lost in the action of 28th April, 1944.

Topic of Cancer

Topic of Cancer is a registered charity that support and funds the essential research into cancer immunotherapy.

Immunotherapy research is so unique, the research centres so few in the UK, raising money to enable this work to continue is vital.

The UK is considered one of the world’s leaders in this branch of cancer research, even with only a few research centres. Indeed, the centre, located at the University of Surrey, has one of the main immunotherapy research teams with expertise in conducting clinical trials within their dedicated facility.

If you, like us, believe it is important that the UK and its immunotherapy research centres continue to be recognised as world leaders, maintain the pace of their vital research and advance the treatments of cancer, then please consider a donation to this charity. It will be money well spent.
